RealVoice turns your smartphone into a hearing aid with superb Noise Reduction.
RealVoice works like a hearing aid and assists users to hear environmental voices clearly without losing important details. It makes use of your smartphone microphone to pick up environmental sound, and then processes the audio data before sending to audio output devices such as wired earphone, headphone or Bluetooth headset.The Noise Reduction feature efficiently removes most of the noisy nuances picked up by the microphone, leaving behind clear voices with S/N ratio that is up to 30dB higher. (Do note that some phone models may not perform well using this feature, as it requires higher CPU processing power.) Alternatively, users can choose to turn off the Noise Reduction feature while in a quieter environment, simply by choosing the default “Low Noise” option.RealVoice also comes with a recording feature that allow users to record their conversations. They can go to “Records” to play or delete their recordings.To achieve better sound quality, users may choose higher sampling rate under Settings. In some phone models, voice delay improves (reduces) with higher sampling rate. Some phone models may not perform well with higher sampling rates, as it requires higher CPU processing power.The mic-boost function allows users to further increase microphone gain in environments with low audio input.Note: 1) Take care when increasing volume. High volumes may adversely affect your ears.2) RealVoice does not work on every device equally well. Certain models may not run “Med Noise” and “High Noise” features well. These are Noise Reduction options and thus require higher CPU processing power. The same goes for higher sampling rates, as more CPU processing power is also required.3) When the output sound appears corrupted: a. Click “Refresh” arrows OR b. Click “Reset” followed by “Refresh” arrows4) If you hear echo, reduce slider volume.5) If video fails to load twice consecutively, you will automatically pass through the 3rd time.6) If you are using earphone, it will be better to choose one without mic input. Needs few bugs fixed like it kicks me out of app after 5 minutes everytime
It works okay if everything is silent around you but it won't pinpoint the voices that you're trying to listen to and the little noise ambient noise High noise options don't work very well and there's no equalizer to try to adjust to better fit individual peoples hearing
Not what it promised
Awesome clairity great fun
This app used to be amazing, but now it doesn't seem to work at all. Doesn't matter what device I use or whether or not I use plug-in headphones or bluetooth all I get is feedback or static. So sad, wish the developers could do something to fix this.
